SAP Core Modules Process Flow Charts, FI/SD/PP/MM


In SAP we have these are the four core modules which common for all industries. Those are Financial and accounting/ Controlling(FI/Co), Sales and Distribution(SD), Production Planning (PP) and Material Management (MM).


SAP FI module as the term suggests deals in managing financial transactions within enterprises. This financial accounting module helps employees to manage data involved in any financial and business transactions in a unified system. This module functions very well for reporting requirements.


SAP SD ( Sales and Distribution ) is important module of SAP and handles all the processes of order to delivery. SAP SD execute the business processes used in the selling, shipping and billing of products and services. SAP SD handles all the activities of sales and distribution.


Production Planning is the process of aligning demand with manufacturing capacity to create production and procurement schedules for finished products and component materials. SAP PP is an important module of SAP. ... Also, goods movements from the conversion of raw material to semi-finished goods.


SAP MM role in business process is as follows: A business process in SAP is termed as “Module”. SAP Materials Management (MM) is a part of Logistics area and helps to manage the procurement activity of an organization from procurement. It supports all aspects of material management (planning, control etc).
